INGREDIENTS

  • 908 grams / 1head, medium (about 5-3/4 diameter) 
  • 80 grams / 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion 
  • 64 grams / 1/2 cup sliced carrots 
  • 680 grams / 1 1/2 pound ham slice 30 grams / 2 tablespoons coconut oil 
  • Optional Ingredients: Garlic, curry powder, fresh herbs, spicy chili peppers. Cabbage will take on the flavor from spices and herbs very well. You can easily change the flavor profile of this soup just by using different combinations of spices that you enjoy.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Chop the cabbage, carrots, onion and ham into bite size pieces. 
  2. Add all the ingredients plus the coconut oil and optional seasonings to a pot or Instant Pot pressure cooker and cover with water.
