INGREDIENTS

FOR THE BURGER BOWL

  • Half a red onion

  • 8 diced cherry tomatoes

  • Chopped lettuce & chopped cabbage

  • Half an avocado

  • 250g ground beef

  • 2 tablespoons of olive or vegetable oil

  • Handful of shredded cheese (I used cheddar and mozzarella)

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • Pinches of salt + pepper

FOR THE SAUCE

  • 2 tablespoons of ketchup

  • 2 tablespoons mayo

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

INSTRUCTIONS

Put your olive oil in a pan and cook your ground beef until brown. Season with onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and salt/pepper. Set to the side to cool — mind the grease, if you’d rather drain it, go ahead but don’t drain it completely or the meat will lose some of its flavor.

Put your chopped lettuce and cabbage into a bowl. Chop tomatoes, onion, and avocado, place on top of your greens. Now prepare your burger sauce: first ketchup then mayo then mustard then onion powder. Mix together. Now, make sure your beef has cooled slightly, place it atop your salad, and top with your shredded cheese & sauce! Enjoy :) I love this recipe because it’s honestly so simple and SO SO SO filling!!!
